Dark Galaxy Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) — (approx. 15 seeds per packet) is a rare heirloom tomato variety celebrated for its otherworldly beauty and exceptional flavour. Each fruit is a work of art — deep crimson with shimmering blue-black speckles and streaks that resemble a night sky scattered with stars. The medium-sized fruits have smooth, firm skins and rich, balanced flavour with both sweetness and acidity, making them excellent for slicing, salads, and fresh eating.
Growing 1.5–2 metres tall, Dark Galaxy is an indeterminate (vining) variety that produces generously throughout the summer. It performs well in greenhouses, polytunnels, or sunny outdoor sites in milder regions of Ireland. Like all Earthling vegetable seeds, it’s an open-pollinated heirloom, meaning you can save your own seed from season to season, preserving its unique genetics and flavour.

Sowing instructions
Seeds are medium-sized and easy to handle. Sow indoors from February to April, about 0.5 cm deep in moist, peat-free compost. Keep at 20–25 °C until germination (7–14 days). Transplant seedlings into individual pots once true leaves appear, then plant out after the last frost, spacing 45–60 cm apart and providing good support. Water deeply, feed weekly once fruiting, and pinch out side shoots to encourage strong upward growth. Store seeds cool and dry until sowing.
