Mallow seeds
€2.95
Mallow (Malva sylvestris)— approx. 40 seeds per packet is a hardy perennial herb native to Europe and naturalised across much of Ireland. It grows 60–120 cm tall, forming a soft mound of rounded, velvety leaves and producing abundant pinkish-purple flowers streaked with dark veins from early summer to autumn. The blooms are rich in nectar, highly attractive to pollinators, and beautifully edible, while the young leaves add mild, nutritious greens to soups and salads.
Mallow is resilient, drought-tolerant, and self-seeds gently once established, thriving in full sun and well-drained soils. Its deep taproot helps improve soil structure and supports the wider ecosystem — a graceful and generous plant for pollinator gardens, herbal borders, and edible landscapes.

Sowing instructions
Seeds are small, round, and easy to handle. Sow from spring to early summer, either indoors or directly outdoors once the soil has warmed. Cover lightly with fine compost and keep moist until germination (10–20 days). Transplant or thin to 30–45 cm spacing. Store seeds cool and dry until sowing.
