Curly parsley seeds
€2.95
Curly Parsley (Petroselinum crispum var. crispum) — (approx. 100 seeds per packet) is a classic heirloom herb grown for its tightly curled, vivid green leaves and fresh, mild flavour. Native to the Mediterranean and long a staple in Irish kitchens, it grows 25–40 cm tall, forming dense, decorative mounds that are both ornamental and productive. Its foliage is rich in vitamins A and C, and makes a versatile garnish or ingredient for soups, salads, sauces, and green juices.
Curly parsley thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soil. It’s slow to germinate but very hardy once established, tolerating cold and producing almost year-round in mild areas. Allowing a few plants to flower in their second year provides nectar for pollinators and seed for saving. As with all Earthling herbs and vegetables, this is an open-pollinated heirloom variety, chosen for flavour, resilience, and biodiversity.

Sowing instructions
Seeds are small and should be soaked in warm water overnight before sowing to speed germination. Sow indoors from February or directly outdoors from March to July, 0.5 cm deep in rows 25 cm apart. Keep soil moist — germination can take 3–4 weeks. Thin seedlings to 15–20 cm apart. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage new growth. Store seeds cool and dry until sowing.
