€14.95
Thornless Tayberry ‘Buckingham’ (Rubus Tayberry Group ‘Buckingham’), also known as ‘Buckingham Thornless’, is a vigorous, self-fertile soft fruit plant and a thornless form of the classic tayberry, a cross between a blackberry and a raspberry. It typically reaches around 2 m in height and spread when trained, producing large, elongated, dark red to purple-red berries in summer. The fruit has a rich, sweet-tart flavour with notes of both raspberry and blackberry, making it excellent for fresh eating, jams, desserts, smoothies, sauces, and productive edible gardens.

Growing Instructions
Thornless Tayberry ‘Buckingham’ thrives in full sun to light shade and prefers fertile, moisture-retentive, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Plant against a fence, wall, trellis, or wire support, as the long canes are best trained for easy harvesting and good airflow. Water regularly during dry periods, especially while the plant is establishing and when fruit is forming. Feed and mulch in spring with compost or well-rotted organic matter. After fruiting, prune out the old canes that have cropped and tie in the new season’s growth for the following year. This hardy, productive berry is ideal for food forests, edible gardens, allotments, sunny borders, and larger containers with support.
