Red currant

Redcurrant (Ribes rubrum) is a deciduous shrub in the Grossulariaceae family, growing up to 1.5 metres tall and wide. It produces bright red, translucent berries in summer that are tart and juicy, perfect for jams, jellies, desserts, or fresh eating. Redcurrants are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.
