Columbine
€4.95
Columbine (Aquilegia), also known as Granny’s Bonnet, is a charming herbaceous perennial in the Ranunculaceae family. It typically reaches around 30–90 cm in height, depending on the variety, and produces delicate, nodding flowers with distinctive spurred petals in spring to early summer. The flowers come in a range of colours and are held above soft, divided foliage, giving the plant a graceful, cottage-garden feel. Columbine is excellent for wildlife gardens, cottage gardens, woodland edges, shaded borders, naturalistic planting, and pollinator-friendly gardens.

Growing Instructions
Columbine thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, well-drained soil that retains some moisture without becoming waterlogged. It is especially useful in lightly shaded areas, under trees, or among other perennials where it can soften the planting with its airy flowers and foliage. Water regularly while the plant is establishing, especially during dry periods. Cut back spent flower stems after blooming to tidy the plant, or leave some seed heads if you would like it to self-seed naturally. Columbine is a hardy, low-maintenance perennial that brings colour, charm, and a natural woodland feel to the garden.
