Growing instructions

Sumac thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils.

It spreads vigorously through suckering and seed, so regular maintenance may be needed to control its growth. This vigorous habit makes it a useful plant for erosion control and biomass production in food forests or permaculture gardens.
