€14.95
Silver Buffalo Berry (Shepherdia argentea) is a hardy, deciduous shrub in the Elaeagnaceae family. It typically grows 2–4 metres tall and wide and is known for its silvery-grey leaves and bright red berries. The berries are edible and have a tart, citrus-like flavour, traditionally used in jams, jellies, and sauces. This nitrogen-fixing plant also enriches the soil, making it valuable in food forests and permaculture systems.

Growing instructions
Silver Buffalo Berry prefers full sun and well-drained soils but is adaptable to a range of conditions, including poor and dry soils.
It is drought-tolerant and low maintenance. Prune to shape if desired and encourage bushier growth. An excellent choice for hedges, windbreaks, or wildlife gardens with edible components.
They are nitrogen fixers, so they are an excellent companion plant and addition to a fruit tree guild.
