Hybrid Biomass Willow (Salix spp.) refers to fast-growing willow varieties bred specifically for high biomass production. These deciduous shrubs or small trees can reach heights of 4 to 6 metres within a few years. They are valued for rapid growth, easy coppicing, and their use in renewable energy, erosion control, and habitat creation.

Growing Instructions
Hybrid Biomass Willows thrive in full sun and prefer moist, well-drained soils but are very adaptable to a range of soil types, including heavy clay and poorer soils.
They spread primarily by coppicing and can be harvested every few years for biomass or coppice wood. While they are vigorous growers, they are not generally invasive but can spread if allowed to seed freely. Excellent for bioenergy plantations, shelterbelts, and riparian restoration projects.
