Perpetual Spinach (Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris), also known as leaf beet or spinach beet, is offered here as a small-medium potted plant. Actually a type of chard rather than true spinach, it grows to around 60cm and produces a steady supply of tender, spinach-like leaves over a long season, often continuing well into winter in milder gardens. Bolt-resistant and easy to grow, it will keep producing for months if the outer leaves are picked regularly. A brilliant, dependable green for vegetable beds, polycultures and container gardens wanting year-round leafy harvests in Irish and UK conditions.

Growing Instructions
Grow in full sun to partial shade in rich, moist, well-drained soil. Water during dry spells to keep leaves tender, and harvest regularly from the outer leaves to encourage continuous new growth. Very easy to grow, it can be treated as an annual or left to behave as a short-lived perennial depending on the climate and winter conditions. A reliable green for filling gaps between other crops.
