A compact, everbearing strawberry variety that produces small, intensely flavorful berries from late spring to autumn. Unlike traditional strawberries, alpine strawberries do not send out runners, making them ideal for edging, containers, or understory plantings. Their delicate, aromatic fruits are excellent for fresh eating or drying.
The 'Yellow Wonder' variety has pale yellow fruit which doesnt get eaten by birds as much so nets are not needed!

Alpine strawberries prefer full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. They benefit from regular mulching to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Remove old leaves in early spring to encourage fresh growth. Unlike standard strawberries, they do not require runner control, making them low-maintenance and easy to grow.
